AOL said on Monday it planned to let software and service developers create their own versions of its AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), which analysts said was a significant move for a company that has traditionally cordoned off its services.

You'll find the developers tools here [developer.aim.com...]

The AIM service is changing into an open and dynamic platform. Now, developers will be able to drive the AIM service in innovative new directions, confined only by the limits of their imaginations.

Not sure if this is true - I am still shocked at how many people use this as their only IM client. I like this move actually...

Does anyone know of a version that integrates MSN, Yahoo, and AIM all-in-one but works similar to the DeadAIM/AIM interface?

Seems like I read somewhere you could speak to people on MSN and Yahoo with one messenger but I still have yet to see any program for this...
