My question actually deals with partial dup content on some of the pages on the same site. This is what I mean:
Let’s say, for example, that you have a site about fixing cars – one page might explain how to remove engine head, and another describes how to remove a radiator.
So, the page that describes how to remove engine head would consist of procedures about how to accomplish this, such as steps to remove hood, disconnect coolant hoses, disconnect sensors for water temp and remove radiator, and lift the head. Now the page describing how to remove the radiator would consist of procedures about removing hood, temp sensors, removing coolant hoses and lifting the radiator.
As you can see, there are few overlapping procedures (which consist of bunch of steps) – would those be considered as a duplicate content by SE? No two pages will ever be the same, but partial content might. If the pages will be incur dup penalty, what are my options to avoid that (write same procedure differently for every instance that I need it, etc.)? I realize that I can have separate pages for every (sub) procedure but that would mean that my reader would have to jump back and forth between pages (which I don’t like from flow and usability standpoint).
Thanks a lot
