Applying for "webmaster-type" jobs

Should I include game sites on the resume?

Most of my job-related experience is in the realm of tech support, although I've kind of had a hobby in web development for a few years. Lately I've been thinking about applying for "webmaster" type jobs or maybe just doing a little "web design for hire" on the side.

Some of my work in web development has been in designing games-related sites and some of those I would consider to be my best work. My question to you is, when they ask to see what I've done, should I show them that kind of stuff? It seems kind of unprofessional to display a site about gaming at an interview, but at the same time, it seems stupid to not use my best work.

Thanks in advance...

They should be looking at the quality of your work, not the topic of choice.

If you say the gaming sites are your best work, then I would say show them off.

If I were interviewing, I wouldn't see it as unprofessional.

I say list the sites.

best, a.
