Hi there,
We are by now getting to the understanding that cross linking between your sites is bad in terms of Google and some other search engines. Lets say for example that you run 5 websites site "A" "B" "C" "D" "E", It would be a bad move to link site "A" to site "B" and link site "B" back to site "A" (cross linking) would you recommend linking site "A" to "B" and "B" to "C" , "C" to "D", "D" to "E" and then "E" back to "A". In effect crating a circle of links between your sites.

How do you handle this sort of situation. or do you interlink but use javascript to hide the return links???

Hi Mack
I presume you read this: Cross linking thread [webmasterworld.com]

About the only thing that everyone agreed on was the 'spokes of a wheel' approach.

A is linked to B,C,D and E

B,C,D and E all link back to A but do not link to each other. It was a very interesting and long discussion but that was one of the key things I learned.

The other thing I learned was that there are no rules, just guesses and that cross-linking in moderation could be okay. Could be...

I think you can do it as long as you link out to other sites and you have other sites linking in to you....the more the better.
