Good Virtual Tour Software?

A few years back I purchased a software that would allow me to make a panoramic graphic of multiple photos, and then add "hot spots" so that you could click on a door and enter that "room"

I'm debating on purchasing a digital camera with a 180 degree or 360 degree lens to capture an entire room in 1 or 2 shots. Can anyone recommend a good camera, lens or software that makes setting up a virtual tour easy?
