Hi everyone,

I'm coming across a problem:I hosted my web pages on a new server, but it seems doesn't recognize pages with .htm extension, needing instead pages with .html extension.
My pages are ALL .htm extension,so how can I do in order to get them operate correctly on this server?
1) Can I change in any way the extension of my pages?
2)Alternatively,is there a server side include/script ore any other way that "translates" the extension?

Thanks in advance.
Any reply will be appreciated.

Sincerely

There shouldn't be any reason why your server can't load pages with the different extension. You should definitely ask your webhost about this.

Your host must add .htm as recognized index files.
If you have an Apache dedicated server, you should find your vhost.conf file and do it yourself.

You're asking the wrong question.

Are you on a shared hosting plan, or a managed server? If so, then you should have your webhost take care of this for you.

Are you on an unmanaged server? If so then it doesn't seem like you have the skills to handle an unmanaged server, and this is only the beginning of your problems. Switch to a managed server, and then have your webhost take care of this for you.
