Hi,

Many people are using their website link in their forum signature. I have seen it on many places.

Is it good or bad.

Thanks

Bad in what sense?

Bad for SEs? I wouldn't think so, but really no one knows what Google is up to.

Bad for your reputation on the boards? It depends on what type of forum it is, I suppose... in some places, people might be offended that you are using their forum to promote your site.

Depends on the forum. If it is the norm for members to add a link in their sigs then go for it. If not, then I wouldn't suggest it. Just make sure it isn't against forum TOS and look at the sigs of older members.

It's good for your site since you get links, but probably bad for the forum since they don't have control over what link you're putting in your sig.
