Tweaked MSCONFIG now can't get online

I had to tweak msconfig to get a program to run, but now I can not get Internet access on the computer. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Do you have notes of the tweaks made? I'd start by trying to get back to where I started.

I thought I simply deslected start up items that seemed to prevent photoshop from running. I tried to reset to default but it has not worked.

What would prevent the PC from allowing an Internet connection? The line is live because it works for my laptop.

possibly Network card drivers not allowed to load...

more likely a toolbar that is not being allowed to start up, try doing a winsock reset. A number of spyware type toolbars take control of network settings and will "break" the internet if removed or disabled.

try the winsock repair tool. search winsockxpfix.exe

did a search for winsockxpfix.exe on my pc but to no avail. I got no results Any ideas or help would be much appreciated

I checked my devices and nothing is showing up. What did I do?
