Templates and Duplicate Content

I'm building 3 new sites and I'm using the same template (my own) for it. The 3 sites all have different content, but the topics are loosely related (let's say one is about apples, the other about oranges). The sites will be on the same server.

Is there a risk in using the same templates, search engine wise?

Dirk, no as long as each site has their own unique page titles and content it causes no problems. think of all those who use the oscommerce template right out of the box, many enjoy good search engine positions.
