Backward DNS test

Hello,

Would someone please tell me what a backward DNS test is? For some reason, I'm not receiveing emails from one server to the next! Two servers, one sends the email however my email server is rejecting the email from server number one?

Please help.

I think it has to do with reverse DNS lookups by the mail program. Have a look at:
[saas.nsw.edu.au...]

bartainer, did you actually recieve an error saying 'backwards dns test' or did it say reverse dns?
