Does it exist?

Vegas conference offers an outstanding array of knowledge to be gained however if one is mostly interested in “mechanic” I mean for example in programming with PHP and MySQL this is not really the place to be.

Understand that I am not diminishing the conference value
But it is not geared toward coders (Unless I did miss some topic descriptions?)
OK I know don't try to sale me on: Coders should code with topics such as those discussed in mind! :)

So my question is:
Is there something similar in the world of coding?

Programmers have been doing this for many years. Each language seems to spawn it's own collective following even before popularity takes hold. The technologies you stated each have sites with ongoing conference postings.

Thanks Coopster,
I shall review those sites.
Maybe someone without spaming could comment on one that he/she attended?

I know that jatar_k attended the PHP West Security Conference in Vancouver, BC last year and had good reports. You can also search for local groups near your area. This link can be found on the [php.net...] site

[phpusergroups.org...]

If I remember correctly, MySQL has much the same.
