OK let's see what happens if I write this in IE and not Safari. Safari is doing odd things. The address not found flap keeps flashing in and out of the middle of the browser, and I can't reply to anything on ANY message board without finding that the cursor does a drop to the end of the box, and there is no way it will stick at the top. ALSO in text edit - I opened a file and had the mysterious event of the text disapearing and then getting it back via 'undo typing' but then when I went to 'file print' it disapeared - and then eventually printed only 2 pages of 7.

I don't EVER open attachments-unless from a very safe source, so if this IS a virus, it is coming in through email itself.

Otherwise I guess it can be two co-incidental events, and Safari users are all having a bad day?

Now if this posts, the second option may be likely.....

You can't merely receive a virus via email; you'd hafta execute it (ie, 2click it). I'd offer a suggestion, but I can't make out from what you're saying what's going on.

So far, there are no OS X viruses, trojans, malware, etc. Whenever something goes wrong with your Mac, don't leap to the old "virus" conclusion; you'll know about it before it hits you, as it'd be big news. More likely, Safari just got confused by some goofy JavaScript. Usually quitting and restarting (or rebooting) is sufficient.
