Set up a pop-up after Firefox block?

when someone click's 'bookmark' they are blocked...

and (for example) I want to be able to send them a pop-up that tells them to 'ctrl+d' to bookmark.

Popup blockers are set to block popups. You can't send a popup if you've been blocked. That's why they are called popup blockers - to prevent popups.

If you want to tell someone to ctrl+D, just put it on the main screen and don't use a popup.

Doesn't Firefox block "unrequested" pop-ups? So if you have a "click for definition" or "click for instructions" pop-up link, that would be okay, wouldn't it?, since the user, by clicking, did request the box.
