Meta Launches "Threads" App for Real-Time Text-Based Chat

As predicted, [webmasterworld.com] Meta has launched "Threads" as a twitter-like app for Android and iOS, but not for desktop. It's available over 100 countries, with the app in Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Interestingly, it's via Instagram and not FB, or a stand-alone service.

So the EU privacy issues have been all worked out then? That was fast. I'm not too surprised that they tied it to Instagram. It had many of the same features you'd want for Threads and they could hit the ground running. ;)

The E.U. privacy issue is not yet resolved, so there's still some work to do to make it available in that region.

I'm having problems logging in to Threads, and I suspect it's to do with managing multiple accounts on Instagram.
I'd sure help if there was a desktop version, as there is with Instagram.
