There was a time when it was common to see Facebook comments and like boxes integrated into websites. It doesn't seem that way anymore.
Do you believe that websites are giving up on Facebook integration? Do you find any tactics still worth doing?

Interesting.
I have a block on any site that has a button for likes, so I don't see them, but I do see a notification it's been blocked. Honestly, I no longer look for the block and just let the software deal with it.
i'm reluctant to disconnect that block to investigate.
I wonder if people and web developers have cottoned on to the onerous tracking.
Do you find any tactics still worth doing?
I'd suggest it depends on the site service or product is about. Integration is easy, and you'd want to measure its effectiveness. I have no sites with the link or FB integration so couldn't say for sure.

I think site developers are very wary of potentially chasing away users. Having facebook integration might be enough to encourage some users to click the back button and leave. Not having it on the other hand will probably have no effect. It's not really something users expect or need.
There is also the point that site owners work hard to generate views, leads clicks etc. Who do all that to give Facebook yet more data?
