Facebook's advert automation is hurting small advertisers with its inflexible account blocking tools and a lack of customer service, according to a report over at bloomberg.
Independent digital ad buyers are getting locked out of accounts they manage.

--inflexible account blocking tools--

Elections + Pandemic + AI+AI+AI = One BIG OCEAN with many fisherman and then ++some fish mongers.

Heh. Perhaps the tweak was a tweak too far?

Be assured there will be a fix and apology later ... from a PR point of view fb is very adverse to bad press. How soon that will come is TBA.

And this folks is what happens in a near or full monopoly business environment. History is full of examples of abuse and simple failure to meet customers demand and requirements.

So easy to solve this issue, require biz users to reach pay a small recurring monthly fee via credit card, bye bye millions of fake Users.

Donate the proceeds to worthy causes, let us choose which one (like Amazon smile does).

Anonymity for viewers, fine.
Anonymous biz users, dumb.

Yes, history does paint a grim picture of where this is heading, right down to the original good intentions of those responsible. They become blind to other points of view and supremely confident it's their job to impose theirs. By the time they realize that they've destroyed what was special, permanently.

Lets hope for some clarity, soon.

Soon, not likely, but addressed ... eventually!

This happened to me last month. Had a $1000 campaign which was spent and taken out of my bank account without my control of the ads! I will NEVER use Facebook Ads again. Their AI is a pile of hot garbage.

Heh ... (not so funny) ... this kind of "error" will be addressed as "an error and we are sorry, a fix has been made"...

Meanwhile, $1000 is gone!

Automation often does not work the way envisioned, or advertised, after all, it is not "automation", it is programs written by humans with goals and aims, and often (as in "ALL TOO OFTEN") go awry.
