Hi, my name is Mariah. I heard about this forum from one of my friends. The thing is I usually buy wholesale clothes and sell them in an outlet which which is quite expensive as the rent is too high comparing to my sales. I see now a days people sell their products without maintaining a shop outlet, which is great, it saves a lot of money. I am also thinking to do the same thing, instead of creating an website I am thinking to create a facebook page first. The problem is that I know nothing about making facebook as a business platform. How do I boost or what precautions should I take to save my page. Please help me.

People on FB are socializing, not shopping, difficult to sell there (though they have truckloads of traffic).
If you build your store on FB, in my opinion, it is forever FB's store, not yours, and they will decide things that are not in your interest.
Have a page / group at FB, but not your main presence.

Get yourself a Shopify store, a few hundred dollars and you're up and running.

Try to sell on Amazon, that's where most shoppers start their search when buying.

Hey Rhino, thanks for your reply, you are right placing my product on amazon or Shopify would be legit, but the things is both of them charges money, but in facebook they do not charge you any money for your sale. That is the reason I got interested in selling my products over facebook.

Hi There. :) Creating any pages through different platforms was very difficult to boost your shoppers. Just a piece of advice, whatever pages you create, you should keep an eye on your business. Let the customer know that you are there to lend a helping hand through responding to their questions and concerns. Also, you must encourage a customer to tag their content. Those photos and success stories will present good reviews. Always remember that people will always trust others, so you must keep them positive. That's all and have a nice day! ;)
