Facebook is running a limited test of its Dating App in Columbia.
According to sources, the service will be different from the swiping format used in other apps, it'll work with Groups and Events where people will be encouraged to meet up in public. Besides the obvious dangers of that, it's adding another string to Facebook's bow.
“Dating has been a behavior that we’ve seen on Facebook for a really long time,” product manager Nathan Sharp said in an interview with The Verge. “We want to make it easier and more comfortable for people to engage in. We just thought that now was the right time.”
