Facebook could be testing a new CAPTCHA test that requires a user photo to verify whether it's a real person.

We already know that Facebook is working to use AI and to continue to develop its facial recognition tool, so this test could just be a development.
If proven, this could be come the norm for many other services, too.

a Facebook spokesperson said the photo test is intended to “help us catch suspicious activity at various points of interaction on the site, including creating an account, sending Friend requests, setting up ads payments, and creating or editing ads.”

The process is automated, including identifying suspicious activity and checking the photo. Facebook CAPTCHA Test Requires a Photo of Your Face [wired.com]
