Facebook is set to be dragged before a jury next year to face allegations that its Open Compute Project is built on stolen server and rack technology.

In a California district court, Judge Edward Davila today laid out a timeline for the legal battle between the social network and UK data center specialist BladeRoom. The latter claims the Mark Zuckerberg-run web giant ripped off its blueprints for server warehouses.

Set for next year, will have time to add garlic to the butter for popcorn.

I suppose any company working in tech these days will always be prime targets for lawsuits from any tom, dick or harry who can afford a legal beagle working on a commission basis and have a half-chance at big bucks.

Doubtful this will be argued before a jury. Most of these things are settled administratively with a magistrate or judge.

They've had nearly two years to reach a settlement already (first filed in 2015). This will probably go to trial, and the options are judge or judge and jury, and the info on which is not there at the moment. Anything else would be a settlement out of court.
