Facebook is reportedly working on technology that would enable, for example, users to type at 100 words per minute simply by thinking about it. The technology would detect brainwaves without using invasive surgery.

Fascinating, but also worrying. Fascinating from the point of view of the capability of technology, but worrying from the angle of where that data will be processed and stored.

There's been technology of a similar nature for years used in flight helmets of fighter pilots & speech technology which uses eye focus, and nerve stimulation points in artificial limb control. Why not go directly to the source?
