Can't make someone a Page Admin

This is a weird one I haven't experienced before. I wonder if the WebmasterWorld brain-trust could point me in the right direction.

I have an FB account that merely consists of an e-mail address. It has no profile. It has no Friends. It only exists to manage Pages. Usually I use this account to generate new Pages, however in this case I am asking someone to add this account as an Admin to an existing Page (not created by this account).

None of the other Page Admins can add this account to the list of Page contributors in any way. We have tried everything from Admin down to lowly contributor level. The "add" button stays grayed out and the account can't be added in any way to the Page management team. I'm stumped.

One other thing to try is to make sure it's following the page. I assume you can do that without a profile.

It has no profile. It has no Friends. It only exists to manage Pages.

I wonder if that's the problem and FB have caught up.

I made some of the Page profiles that this account manages "follow" and "like" the problem Page. That didn't seem to work.

I can't recall how I made this account, but I've used it for years to manage Pages. It's not a "normal" FB account. There aren't even options for the account to make a profile for itself.

Is it possible it's a "legacy" account type that is allowed to exist by some kind of grandfather clause, but can no longer be created or modified?

It must be that you have a developer account.

Hmmm...
I've had the account since at least 2011. It's possible it is a developer account. I will need to look around to see if I can find any of the original mails from FB if I still have them.

If this is a "special" account I may be stuck here. I don't expect there's any hope of getting FB intervention for an account that isn't paying for advertising.

Are you (with this login account) friends with the person adding you?

The login account can't make "Friends". It is merely an e-mail address. No profile is even possible. The account's home page when you click the Facebook icon, is just a list of all the Pages the account administers.

But I do know the people trying to make this account an Admin. One of the accounts is a personal account of mine, and it doesn't work from there either.
