Facebook could be tapping into not just users personal information, interests, and online habits but also your private conversations, a new report has revealed.

Facebook admits that it “uses your microphone to identify the things you’re listening to or watching, based on the music and TV matches we’re able to identify.”

However, some experts believe that Facebook is not being fully transparent. Once the microphone feature is enabled, Facebook can listen in to your private conversation, even when one is not actively engaging with the app.

Just another reason why I don't own a cell phone! :)

The suggested solution I've read about was to uninstall the Facebook app from your phone, and then access FB thru the mobile device's browser. The interface and functions are similar, but FB closes when you close your browser. This is supposed to be good for those experiencing battery issues due to the always-on nature of the App.
