WhatsApp has launched a desktop app for Windows and Mac, and all messages between mobile app and the desktop version are synchronised.
The new desktop app is available for Windows 8+ and Mac OS 10.9+ and is synced with WhatsApp on your mobile device. Because the app runs natively on your desktop, you'll have support for native desktop notifications, better keyboard shortcuts, and more.

Quite nice to be able to move it out of my web browser (i.e. my work space).

Or perhaps I shouldn't be chatting at all.

Still waiting to hear how secure the desktop client app is. Hopefully they didn't skimp there.

Am I the only one left not using this? (No cell phones and avoid FB as a time sink and all messaging apps as useless!)

Email me. Call me on the Telephone. Knock on my Door. All this other stuff is distracting. (signed) Larry Luddite.

If not obvious, tongue-in-cheek satire. The human beast seems determined to show the rest of the beasts that theey, above all others, can't keep their freakin' mouths shut!

Tangor, you may be. ;) hehe
Think about it as a way to text for free, anywhere in the world. My cellphone free text allowance does not include international as free.
