Hi guys,

I have been asked by my local pub to run their Facebook business page for them and to come up with some ideas. I know another pub down the road has a certain setting enabled on their own business page and I am not sure how they do it.

Basically, when somebody is currently in the pub with their friends they update their own personal status, such as they are with this friend and that friend at [insert name of pub] and there is a link through to the business page. When this happens it automatically posts on the pubs business page that they are there.

I think this would be good to let other people following the pubs business page who is currently in the pub because it is a small town that I live in and everybody knows everybody, but I have looked and looked and I just cannot find out how this other pub has done it.

Anyone any ideas? I am no social media expert but I do want to help them and bring in some extra business.

Many thanks
TD

FB help file here: [facebook.com...]

It could also be an integration between Foursquare / Swarm and their biz location.

Set them all up.

RhinoFish gave a link to the explanation - in the sub section that talks about a user doing a 'check in' action.

FourSquare has RSS feeds that could be pulled into a page. Or the other business may be using a 3rd party tool to make an RSS feed out of their Page.
