Facebook is taking focus groups to a new level with the introduction of the new Facebook Sports Stadium hub where sports fans can chat and interact in real-time to live events taking place.

This will be capturing more content in-house, and is going to impact twitter, i'm sure.

We’re rolling this out today for American football games and will support other sports around the world like basketball, soccer, and more soon. The experience is available now on iPhone in the US, and will expand to other platforms in the coming weeks. Facebook Sports Stadium, A Real-Time Hub For Sports Fans [newsroom.fb.com]
