Facebook has confirmed that it's not changing its policy over real names, however, it's been a problem for some time with fake names, or people requiring "special circumstances" for a range of reasons, including being the victim of a stalker.
Facebook said there's a new version of names reporting when you suspect a false identity. The form is more detailed and required more context, all devised to help avoid inaccurate or malicious reporting of suspected fake names.
ID Verification at Facebook will continue, however, it has said it is looking at new ways to get through that.
