Had to convert profile to page and lost 2/3 of friends!

Hi,

I had a profile that was forced to convert to a page. According to Facebook, all friends would become fans (likes). I just did the conversion but it went from more than 3000 friends to just 1000 likes. This is definitely not what I expected. I just emailed facebook but really don't know if they will respond or do anything about it. I worked very hard to grow the followers to 3000 and now it's down to 1000!

Anybody had similar situation?

Update: After a couple of hours the likes started showing. Seems to be all good so far. Next step, merge 2 pages and hope for it to work out.

I started to say that it might take some time for all their servers to get the memo - But it's good to hear they're showing up. I don't have any specific info, but from observations, it does take time for things to update across the system. Good luck with the merge.
