Facebook continues to sing the praises of its Messenger app and it says 500 million are using it each month. I assume that is 500 Million different people.

I'm not one of the 500 million as I choose to ignore the Messenger app nagging and use the web for messaging.

Today more than 500 million people are using Messenger each month and we’re more committed than ever to make it the best possible messaging experience.Facebook Says Messenger Reaches 500 Million Users [newsroom.fb.com]
This is an exciting milestone but with a half billion people relying on Messenger to communicate and connect, it is also a reminder that there is so much left for us to do.

Truthfully, I don't know anyone using Facebook Messenger... then again, I don't use it myself, and I am among the "early" FB critters (though not active unless a really odd whim strikes).

I find the Facebook Messenger App a total waste of time and storage space. It is not user-friendly for people who just want a simple way to communicate. I personally don't like using the App.
