Facebook Ads: Image Issues

Hi Everyone.

One of my clients is running a number of Facebook ads and we're experiencing the following issue.

When you attempt to edit creative using the standard editor interface (not power editor), we get the following warning:
"The image is too small. Please upload a larger image"

The images are all well over the minimum required 254x133 pixels

These images were previously uploaded fine and we received no warnings when we created the campaigns initially.

We do not receive the warning while using the power editor.

Has anyone else experienced this? The Facebook forums weren't much help, unfortunately.

Is there anyway to tell if the images are actually displaying on our ads when they're being served? I just want to make sure that they're not appearing broken.

Thanks!

Hi seobbq and welcome to the forums. Are the edits being done from the same account that created the campaigns? When the campaigns were created were they created using the power editor? If so, you may need to use the Power editor to edit these campaigns. Can you create a new campaign without using the power editor? If so, I would try that and see if your future edits can be done the way you prefer.

The link to your specifics was removed to comply with the terms of the forum. If you need personal assistance or help with specific URLs, there is a link at the top of the page to join the supporters forums where you can get more individualized help.

Thanks for the reply.

We're using the same account and the campaigns were not originally created using the power editor - so it seems strange that the images are being flagged now, but only if we try and edit the campaign. Once the image is flagged, as can go in and select the same exact image and the problem resolves itself, until we try and edit it again.

Because FB uses multiple servers to store and handle and serve images, they aren't always accessible for instant changes. Some depends on how frequently they update each batch which seems to depend on the amount of unrelated traffic (load) on each server. I don't know if they offer a way to ensure images are being served and if so which ones after an edit or attempted edit. There are lots of users for this service and others may have direct experience to help you with.
