Contest in Facebook : Like page and win

I want to start a contest on the page (of my company) in order to collect as much as possible likes I can. I want to know, according to the new datas of promotion in facebook, what to avoid and what to be careful. Avoid to tell like, prohibited the share, avoid tagging, what you should do to run the contest and not having a problem with facebook? What are the rules ?

I have been giving this a little bit of thought over recent months, and my main objective is keeping in fair.

My scinario involves users needing to encourage people to like a specific page (each user has a different page to attract likes)

I would make the like button available in a certain date, and remove it on a certain date. That way all entrants know the time frame they have. The winner would be the person who's page has the most total likes generated within the timeframe.

I would allow shares and tags. These all add up to exposure and can't really do you any harm.

Your competition rules need to follow facebook rules or they would be difficult to enforce. At the end of the day as soon as the user does something on the facebook side they are outwith your control.

The tricky part is tracking all likes. The figures need to be counted as soon as possible from the contest closure date.
