I'm looking for a free tool that counts the total shares, likes, and comments on a FB page. I just want top level metrics for any FB page. Any recommendations ?

FB themselves have widgets that allow you to display the number of likes/shares/comments, akin to the tweet counter at the bottom of this page.

Or is that not what you are looking for? It sounds like you wish to know the number of links/shares for an arbitrary page, likely unrelated to the page on which you display the data.

I know FB have many analytic tools you can use on your own page, but I need to see metrics on other FB pages (i.e competitors, etc). I'm sure there's something out there that does a basic count, but I haven't found it yet.
