Facebook has begun deleting fake page "likes", independent data suggests.
The move follows the social network's admission that 8.7% of its users are not "real", many having been set up by spammers who use them to artificially make pages appear more popular.Report: Facebook Starts Assault On Fake 'Likes' [bbc.co.uk]

Good news, there are quite a few people around offering to get you thousands of likes for a few dollars.

It shows that Facebook are on to things.

I am surprised that they think that only 8.7% of likes are fakes.
