Just wondering if anyone had any experiences with buying facebook "likes"? Is it something anyone would recommend for a new facebook business page?

You can get dime a dozen these days from zillion of sites.
Can give a brand new page some "perceived" social value to get the ball rolling right off the bat, so helpful in that sense.
Be sure to ask the vendor about demographic details else you'll end up with lot of likes from non US regions.
In the long run however, you have to add REAL value and build REAL brand to attract REAL fans to your page.
A business page with just couple of hundred people who'd convert is any day better than page with let's say 5K bought likes ( who anyway are mostly bot profiles )
