Facebook wants to know if you are a business

I'm puzzled by the Facebook requirement to indicate if you are a business user or not and the implications. They are going to start charging VAT on the ads soon.

I'm not sure what it implies. The wording seems confusing and I'm having doubts what to choose.
I buy ads for my fan pages on facebook itself. I am an individual.

Any ideas/clarifications etc... what did you choose and why?

If they charge VAT, they will do it whether you are a business or an individual. Only if you are VAT registered will you be able to claim it back.

In my country (in the EU) there is a category of vat registered called exempt, where you are not able to claim it back.

yea i'm also confusing about it.

As I'm seeing it. If I don't say business I will get charged 24% which is on the highish (sp?) compared to local vat.

Otherwise...
