Hi,

One of my friends want to start an Ecommerce website in lowest budget. Suggest me some best and secure opensource ecommerce scripts written in PHP.

Thanks.

This would always be more convenient if the friend was asking himself ...

I would say Magento, PrestaShop, etc...

By the way the "security" of an e-com site, is not only related to the software used...

Lowest budget, lowest time and effort? IMO... Shopify... but its not php and is SAAS if that matters.

For PHP to add to the list there is also Aimeos , ZenCart, WooCommerce

Ecommercetemplates.com is good, not expensive. I have been using it since 2003

The best one is the one that does what you need. And your skill set is sufficient to code. Your friend needs to do research and find out for themselves.

A search on Bing or G will provide the same answers as you will get here.

The BIGGIE on ecommerce is not the program to display goods, it is having a contract with a payment processor, the back end security, compliance with GDPR and Other Laws, and a Bank willing to play for one to be able to conduct business. Get that out of the way first. Then one can worry about what "program" (php or not) to use.,

Sorry to be a stick in the mud.
