Failed to get dropped domain

How do I get it now?

Hi, I was stupid and didn't backorder a ".com" that was pending delete. I tried to manually register it, but it got picked up instantly. The whois shows <a GD resller>.

Will it go to auction?

Hello msutafa4. Welcome to WebmasterWorld.

Try sending your question to the WhoIs registrant.

If that doesn't work then contact GD.

If you type the domain into your browser that might give you a clue if it's going to auction.

Lastly, check GD's auction industry, i.e., see if the domain is listed.

You are not stupid. Backordering is no guarantee you will get it. In my opinion some backordering systems are border line scams.

Thanks. Ya I really didn't want to do a godaddy backorder because you don't even get the money back if you don't get it. Then, all the other backorders were $70. I was watching it on namejet.com and no-one backordered before the required time. I figured people usually backorder at every possible place if they are going to do it at all, but I guess not.

I think there is a novel story somewhere about backordering domain names. People wonīt start murdering each other for a good domain name just yet, but thatīs why itīs possibly both crime and scifi material :)
