just bought a domain from 3rd part. how to transfer

Can anyone give me some advice.. I have just bought a domain from a 3rd party, I'm wondering what is the next step in the transfer?
Will he send me the control panel passwords or something? I have no idea what's next.

Was it purchased from a 3rd party company or private party?

Have the domain transferred to the account where you have the rest of your domains. Surely your registrar can tell you what is required.
