IP info for a domain getting redirected

Hi Guys,

I have a question related to the IP of the domain.

Suppose, my domain example.com is getting 301 redirected to example.co.uk. If I ping the domain example.com, I see the IP address for example.co.uk. How can I view the IP address for example.com?

Hi,

If you ping example.com you will get the IP of example.com.
301 redirects work only with the HTTP protocol, and ping doesn't use HTTP.

In your case example.co.uk and example.com share the same IP address.
