123 reg problems?

auto-Renewed domain yesterday, switched to client hold today

Has anyone else had any problems with 123-reg.

yesterday my .com domain auto-renewed, payment through fine, invoice created etc etc, yet today the whois information for the domain has switched to "client hold" and it appears the domain wasn't renewed, thus the domain is now "unavailable"

rather worried by this, luckily it's one of my own domains, not a clients, but i've got lots about to renew and if this happens for each of them it could get very messy.

Don't leave them until the last minute. Always be at least a year ahead that way you have time to sort things out if your registrar runs into problems

never even given that a second thought, but obviously something has gone wrong at the registrar. It's less of an issues with .co.uks as there is a longer grace period but this was instant switchoff.
