Hello,

I see some registers now show .info before .net; however I thought .net was always better when .com was not available? Please advise.

It depends upon the sites subject matter. In general its Com, Net, Info , Org
Biz, Gov, etc, etc. (not always in that exact order).Look on Go Daddy and
see how they list them. Hope this helps. KF

The most important thing and likely to be increasingly important as new extensions get released is semantic meaning between the tld and the subject of the site.

If it jars with even a small minority of your visitors then it may lead to a negative perception of the whole site for those visitors.

For example something overtly commercial with a .org can look strange to many people and conversely something predominantly charitable could make some people wary of a site with a .biz
