Domain name blocked to the middle east

Ive just put a website together for a client at <snip: No website drops please> and now it seems this domain name has been blocked in some countries, UAE being the first one we had a problem with, but now Berlin has popped up as well.

According to the internet archive the domain has never been used apart from the holding page of the agency that sold the domain to my client.

Other domains that point to the site work so it seems to be specific to the domain name rather than the content.

Has anyone had any issues like this and how did you resolve it?

[edit] if a mod would be kind enough to edit the title it should be middle east :-)

Yea, UAE blocks websites which are not morally acceptable to the residents and citizens of the country. If your domain name spells a problem or the content has had something prohibited, you are in the list. If you write an email to them though, they will consider your request.
