Hi,

Anybody know which of the domain escrow services will transfer in pounds sterling?

Looking at escrow dot com, they seem to only handle US dollars.

The only only other one I can find is sedo, but nothing I can find on their site or on the web states specifically that they will do escrow in UK pounds.

Not sure why this is an important consideration.

Do you expect the exchange rate to change significantly before escrow closes?

Is your bank unable to handle the conversion? It would seem a simple matter to have your bank issue a check or wire funds in dollars, or to accept a check or wire in dollars.

But I'm unfamiliar with the English banking system, so maybe there's some catch or extreme inconvenience I'm unaware of. I think any bank in the U.S. would handle this with no problem, but perhaps a service fee of up to 2%.

Both parties require the amounts in £ (UKP). Transferring currency from £->$ and back to £ again would incur significant cost.

I've heard back from Sedo, but they haven't answered my question if they accept UKP. I'll post the answer here if and when I get an answer.
