I have read very good information in webmaster world about this topic, I searched google already but I have some concerns.

It is preferable register multiple domain names and create diferent sites or put all the sites under one domain name with subdomains (like a freehosting company)?

The sites are not related. Or its better to create a blog and write about everything I want in a blog. What do you think about that?

Thanks.

PLAY SAFE, WISE and SMARTLY!

Why to buy different domains , when you have the option of subdomains?

10 domains means about $90? Hosting again about $150-200.
Managing them differently? Reciprocal Linking.. hmm not a good idea!
What about building on 1 brand with a content rich site properly segmented ad classsified. You can add blogs too! Good Affiliates come up and good revenue gfeneration program shows up. A high trafic site is more reliable then a band of 10 different sites, THINK!

MY OPINION BUT ITS YOU & YOUR DECISION THAT MATTERS!

In terms of SEO whats principaly what i'm asking for. If subdomains are good why people register too much domain names. And many people register one domain per site?

Consider what happens if one of your sites becomes successful and you want to sell it. With subdomains, you essentially can't.

Also, it'll confuse the user. They won't remember "travel.example.com", just "example.com", and be suprised to have to pick from a long list of sites when they return.

Many hosting plans (especially VPS) allow multiple domains to be hosted at the same price, so usually the only extra cost is under $10/yr for each domain. It's short-term thinking and a false economy to save this with subdomains, if the sites are really unrelated.

From the SEO and offline marketing point of view, it's much easier to promote "exampletravel.com" than "travel.example.com".

But in terms of SEO if I have many content in one domain (even in subdomains) isn't better than have less content divided in many domains?

Multiple domains are better if they are on a specific topic.

Managing, Building and Promoting each of the brand takes lots and lots of time and effort (beside good chunk of money).

WHy not the MOST OF THE BIGGEST BRANDS in the world have multiple domains like one for dating, one for classifieds, one for shopping?

If you plan to sell, sell complete website/portal with domain. You wil get much higher of the brand value then!

And in terms of seo its preferable to use multiple subdomains or folder in the domain. like:

widget.com/example1
widget.com/example2

or

example1.widget.com
example2.widget.com

In case of subdomains its better use [subdomain.domain.com...] or [subdomain.domain.com?...]

Thanks.
