How and where to find high value domain names?

IMy fist post on this forum - hello to all. I can see I'm going to be doing alot of reading in the next few weeks!

The reason I 'discovered' this forum was because I have been setting up some Adsense sites and began to realise that expired domain names are, possibly, a better idea than new ones.

I found the site where they give an estimation. However accurate that is it does at least 'grade' the domains in relation to each other by using the same criteria.

I have been searching sites such as 'justdropped' and the search function on 'Whois', and other similar sites, but the massive majority of names have no value and the ones that do all seem to be gone.

So my question is - can anyone recommend a procedure, a site or a resource to assist me in finding good value domains?

Since I only just found this site I assume there are other high quality sites I have missed too.

Thanks to all.

ebay.

Plenty of expired domains at rock bottom prices; just view them all and see what grabs your imagination.

Enom.com offers an alert service for expiring domain names. They publish daily lists as well.

The biggest domain marketplaces are Sedo/Afternic/TDNAM.
