Good domain name alternative tool?

Found any good domain registrars which give good suggestions?

Has anyone found a registrar where when you type in a domain name to search it automatically gives you a good list of other name choices?

Sort of a domain thesaurus?

I remember seeing a really good one out there and now I can't find it again.

Such tools really aren't a substitute for thoughtful analysis and planning.

I've seen such tools at more than one registrar. Just look around. The grand daddy registrar of them all even has such a tool - for what they're worth.

I'd rather we keep away from promoting anyone's tools for this type of purpose.

Think for yourself. It's what you'll have to do time and time again if you're going to succeed in business.

I'm putting this on lock because thusfar it's only been a magnet for self-promotional posts, which I've deleted. I'll also infer, from the quiet of the membership, that most would agree the tools are of little value.
