Backordering domains

Are owners contacted when their domains are backordered?

I was wondering if domain owners are usually contacte if their domain names are backordered? A domain I'm interested it, probably a low value since it's just a misspelling of the one I own, will be expiring Oct 6.

Just wondering if I backorder it, will that prompt the owners to renew?

Also make sure, you have not given your Credit card detaILS there.

Also, make sure you have not put a long list in the watch list.

What happens is, when any of the related domain name is found , they are booked and charged and then the user is given confirm mail ;-)
