Hi there,

<snip>

I am wondering the following:

- <edit>Does anyone have experience with CTR on Chinese domains in China, so I can make a estimate on the turnover per month on ads on domains that have traffic that I am considering buying?</eidt>

- How can I check that what there selling is not a domain that is not generating traffic by itself, so after I buy them they lose the traffic?

Thanx,

Dean

PS: China is a new market for me.

I know nothing about the pages and traffic quaestions however:

1. Are you intending to build Chinese pages or in English?

2. If you intend having English pages with a .cn then host on servers outside of China. Chinese servers are too slow to access at present.

3. If you want Chinese pages for China, then get yourself a good Chinese partner.

4. The Chinese will very soon be the largest Internet users. It is a huge growing market and they do click on ads if that's what you want to know.

5. Go to China to physically see what is happening...it will make your eyes bulge!

I plan to use sedo.com for Chinese ads. I will just park the domains and (hopefully) generate money from that.

Domains are all .com and hosted in the US.

Still looking for feedback on ... CTR on Chinese domains

Still looking for feedback on ... CTR on Chinese domains

I have two English language .cn sites hosted outside of China and purposedly built for my specialist construction products to export Chinese widgets.

One site averages about 4% CTR and the other 16%!

The Chinese language .cn's I have not checked recently, however they tended to have a lot of page views and a low CTR since, I believe, most of our competitors use them for benchmarking their own sites.

I'm not that good at SEOing in Chinese either...!
