Optimal approach to mini site networks

I want to ethically own a market online, so i have grabbed the top 150 keywords my market uses and I have secured 3000 keyword domains that exactly match the keywords my market is using

I am creating a mini site network with individual websites that highly target my markets main concerns and keyword requests.

I am very interested to see or hear from anyone else who has success with a simliar strategy.

3000 domain names is a lot .. you're clearly serious :)

i'd just say careful how you host and interlink them. work out a proper strategy of who is linking to who. if they're real enough and of the quality that other people might end up linking to them independently as well, that would obviously be even better for you too!

I'm sure that everyone else in your field, who can no longer find a good domain name, will agree that you are being "massive ethical" in your approach.

Are we now defining ethics in terms of what search engines can catch, or do human factors still have a role?

Creating a mini site network is a trategy that works when done properly, but otherwise it can be a disaster. Before you start, be sure to study the WW discussions on interlinking in the link development and Google News forums. When done wrong, you may be seen as spammer and lose everything (the value of all your domains and all the effort of putting up web sites). With a network of 3000 domains, you can be sure someone will report you as spammer. So try to find what's acceptable.

When done right it is amazing.. I did it with 5 sites just for the "authority" relevent links. Wrote good relevent copy - each page around a differet keyword - carefull linking strategy is a must.

What I have found is additional positives... Direct sales from these sites at much higher rates than either my organic search placement or paid placement.

Also,some keywords/search engines I have 6 of the top 10 spots.

Can you explain this to me? I'm interested to start a small network of mini-sites (no more than 5). But, I'm not sure about the linking strategy .
