I'm considering using Sedo to negotiate and acquire a domain for me. Has anyone had any experience with them and would you all recommend it?

Hi. Forgot to add that what makes me kinda nervous about using them is their commission is based on 10% of the final sale price...so they have little incentive to keep the final price down.

Sedo has been great in my experience. You negotiate the price with the seller, so they (Sedo) have nothing to do with the final sale price.

I also have used Sedo a few times - good experience. Removes having to talk to people in order to buy or sell.

As a seller, I've sold several names through Sedo. I prefer it to direct offers, much more business-like process.
to negotiate and acquire a domain for me.
Is it a name listed on their site for sale, or one where they will approach the current owner for you? I would expect much less chance of success in the later case.

i agree with chicago. sedo does not get involved in the negotiating process, it is only between you and the seller. the seller pays the 10% commission, and the whole deal is handled thru escrow to protect both you and the seller. what have you got to lose?
